Add dates into a small bowl and add water until dates are just covered. Microwave for 1 minute.

Carefully take the hot bowl out of the microwave and use a fork to mash into a date paste.

Add in almond butter, salt, maple syrup and vanilla. Mix until a caramel comes together. Set aside and make the oats.
Creamy banana oats

Mash the banana in a small saucepan. Add in oats, cinnamon and milk. Add sweetener if needed.

Heat on medium / low until thick and creamy.
Assemble

Add into a bowl. Top with caramel, yogurt, grilled or fresh banana and chopped chocolate pieces.
