    Cake

  • 125g butter 
  • 1 ½ cups plain flour 

  • 2 apples, grated, skins on 

  • 1 tsp baking powder 

  • 1 cup sugar 

  • 2 tsp cinnamon 

  • 1 egg 

  • 1 tsp allspice 

  • 1 tsp salt 

  • Topping

  • ½ cup Harraways Rolled Oats 

  • 25g butter 
  • ¼ cup brown sugar 

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

    Ingredients

    Cake

  • 125g butter 
  • 1 ½ cups plain flour 

  • 2 apples, grated, skins on 

  • 1 tsp baking powder 

  • 1 cup sugar 

  • 2 tsp cinnamon 

  • 1 egg 

  • 1 tsp allspice 

  • 1 tsp salt 

  • Topping

  • ½ cup Harraways Rolled Oats

Method

    Cake:

      1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a cake tin with baking paper.

      1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

      1. Remove from stove when melted. Add grated apple, sugar, egg and beat until well mixed.

      1. Stir in sifted dry ingredients until just mixed. Turn mixture into the prepared tin.

      1. Spread topping evenly over cake.

      1. Bake for 30-40 mins or until sides shrinks from the tin.

        Topping:

          1. To make the topping - melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted remove from heat, stir in rolled oats, sugar and cinnamon.
